Women Sweatshop Workers: Commodities not Citizens
Globalization may be a buzzword of contemporary society; however, the act of globalization began to occur centuries ago. As technologies were developed cultural and geographical boundaries began to dissolve and societal revolutions, such as the Industrial Revolution, occurred. This paper will investigate how one of these challenges is the fact that women sweatshop workers were historically, and are still today, seen as commodities and not citizens.
